Kimberly Pena is the Chief Financial Officer for Sigma Science. She has more than 27 years of experience in financial, accounting, and regulatory compliance, for a variety of public and private emerging growth companies as well as large multinational corporations in various industries.
Kimberly graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree, with a concentration in Accounting, from the University of New Mexico’s Anderson School of Management, and was inducted into the Anderson School of Management Hall of Fame in 2013. She was also a nominee in the San Diego Business Journal’s 9th Annual Women Who Mean Business Award. Kimberly also serves as the Secretary on the University of New Mexico Foundation Board of Trustees and a lector and Finance Committee member for the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary catholic church.
She and her mother, Corine, fund an annual scholarship for students of the Anderson School of Management and are currently working towards a permanent endowment. Fun Facts: Kimberly and her mother owned and operated a breakfast/lunch cafe for several years.
